Kon began his journey in the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector with a student placement at Arrow Health in 2022. Since then, he has steadily built his experience and deepened his commitment to the field—first as a Support Worker, and later as part of the Intake and Assessment team, where he now works closely with prospective clients to help determine how Arrow Health can best support their unique recovery journeys.
In December 2023, Kon expanded his role to include creating and facilitating weekly outings for the Day Program. These holistic off-site activities are designed to support participants’ well-being, connection, and personal growth in a relaxed, empowering environment.
Kon is driven by a genuine passion for mental health and a deep belief in each person’s capacity for change. His approach aligns closely with Arrow Health’s mission to provide compassionate, client-centered care.
What motivates me most in the field of AOD is the opportunity to inspire individuals to realize their full potential and lead fulfilling, meaningful and purposeful lives.”
He often reflects on a quote by Tony Robbins that continues to inspire his work: “Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change. Choose your pain. Discipline or regret.
